Step 1: Go to Gmail Sign-Up Page
- Open your browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.).
- Go to: https://accounts.google.com/signup
- Click “Create account” → Choose “For myself” or “For my business”.
Step 2: Enter Your Basic Details
Fill out the form:
- First Name → Your real or desired name.
- Last Name → Optional but recommended.
- Username → This will be your email (e.g.,
rahul123@gmail.com). - Password → Choose a strong password (use letters, numbers, and symbols).
- Confirm Password → Re-enter the password.
Tip: If your desired username is taken, Google will suggest alternatives.
Step 3: Verify Your Phone Number
- Enter your mobile number.
- Click Next.
- Google sends a 6-digit OTP to your phone.
- Enter the OTP to verify.
Why? Phone verification improves security and recovery options.
Step 4: Add Recovery Info (Optional but Recommended)
- Recovery Email → Helps recover your account if you forget your password.
- Date of Birth → For age verification.
- Gender → Optional, but you can select “Prefer not to say.”
Step 5: Accept Google’s Privacy & Terms
- Read Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Scroll down and click “I Agree.”
Step 6: Set Up Your New Gmail Account
- Once done, you’ll be redirected to Gmail Inbox.
- Click Compose to send your first email.
- Customize your profile picture and theme if you like.
